In this work, whatever might be happening on the surface, I attempt to preserve a depth of stillness and silence beneath. My choices are propelled by visual seduction, synchronicity and unanticipated pathways that pull me deeper into the conversation with my canvas. Obsession, pain, healing; I lose myself and find myself in my work. I discover more of my authentic self. I shed concepts about who I am, aiming closer to the core.
